Monroe High School

Monroe High School at 551 East 172nd Street in the Bronx, New York is an annex to an existing structure built for the School Construction Authority (SCA). Bovis Lend Lease was the Contractor, Kilment & Haisband were the architects. Ambrosino, Depinto & Schmieder were the engineers.

The four story addition project took two and a half years to complete and had 300 fixtures installed including six laboratory rooms a new kitchen, cafeteria and auditorium. Additionally, installed were an acid neutralization tank with complete piping systems and a domestic booster system, a hot water boiler system with a 900 gallon tank.
