Young Women's Leadership Academy

The YWLA, at 23-15 Newtown Avenue, Astoria, New York is a project for the School Construction Authority (SCA) with substantial completion due in January 2010.

WDF is renovating a new kitchen and rehabilitating three floors of the building. Additionally, a new boiler and heating system is being installed. WDF will provide all existing floor slabs, exterior doors and frames, ceramic and quarry tiles in vestibules, toilets, kitchens and other areas. All interior floor, wall and ceiling finishes to be provided. All required work for structural, HVAC, plumbing, sprinklers and fire alarm systems, including electrical and low voltage telecommunications will be completed by WDF.

Architectural plans are provided by SBLM Architects and engineering by Maitra Associates, P.C. in New Jersey.
