The New York Botanical Gardens,
founded in 1891, the New York Botanical Garden Glasshouse for Living Collections in the Bronx New York, not far from the Bronx Zoo, is the largest non-commercial glass house in the United States. It is a museum of plants, an educational institution, and a scientific research center.

The Botanical Garden has been named a National Historic Landmark and is the largest in the United States and one of the greatest in the world.

This two year project was built with Andron Construction and Mitchell/Giurgola Architects with Joseph Loring Associates Engineering.

The multi-spout fountain at the entrance of the main building was made operable by WDF Inc. after lying dormant for many decades. The Glasshouse is heated by hot water from more than three miles of floor radiated heat and more than two miles of galvanized hot water pipes suspended from the roof and exterior walls.
