The Jamaica Waste Water Treatment Plant at Jamaica Bay

The Jamaica Waste Water Treatment Plant at Jamaica Bay, New York, one of fourteen water pollution control plants in the City, is a large general contracting and plumbing project for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.

This multi-phased project is a major upgrade of the existing facility. Three new buildings will be erected with a renovation of an existing building.

Included in this important infrastructure project are: improvements to the aeration system and rehabilitation of the aeration tank walkways; replacement of the sludge collectors in final settling tanks; modifications of the main sewage pump station, including a new electrical room; replacement of the primary sludge pumps and digested sludge and digester gas piping; all plumbing work for the new buildings and installation of new service water and seal water system.
